Welcome! I'm an associate professor in the English Department and the director of the Honors Program at Walla Walla University. I received my Ph.D. and M.A. in English from the University of Notre Dame in 2015 and my B.A. in English, religion, and biblical languages from Walla Walla University in 2007. My research focuses on John Milton and seventeenth-century literature, early modern Jewish-Christian relations, the history of biblical hermeneutics, and early modern women. My work has appeared in Milton Studies, Religion and Literature, and The Seventeenth Century. I'm currently at work on a book, Remembering the Sabbath: Law, Labor, and Liberty in Seventeenth-Century English Literature, that examines how growing interest in the Jewish Sabbath in the seventeenth century influenced the period's literature and culture. In the English Department at Walla Walla University, I teach composition, literary theory, and biblical, medieval, and Renaissance literature. I also teach courses for the Honors Program. |
